What If I Love More Deeply?

Hello!

The holiday season is upon us; no matter what you celebrate or if you celebrate, this time of year is infused with love as we think of others and gather with family and friends. I’d like to share with you an idea that has been swirling around me if you will indulge me:

What if I love more deeply or fully; will doing so bring more balance, grace, or joy to life? I will try to explain in words the beckoning energy of this idea. 

No matter the type of relationship in which you are engaged: love, friend, colleague, stranger, etc., it requires a connection with others. It doesn’t always go smoothly. This concept asks you to think with a larger perspective – we don’t need to drill down to the nitty-gritty problems and challenges any connection can be fraught with. There are wonderful aspects as well such as support, respect, companionship, fun, and a meeting of the minds. I am pondering if love can transcend the understandable frustrations that arise in relationships. 

I was speaking with someone about this, and my thoughts lifted to “beyond love.” If we hold love for someone – or in general, anyone – would loving more completely enable us to stand in a place of acceptance and non-judgment during times of conflict, annoyance, frustration, and other normal human emotions? If we can expand the love we have for someone - or again, just people in general - will we find more patience? Will we not take their emotions, actions, and reactions as personally as we often do? Can we elevate our love from a physical heart-centered state to a spiritual state thereby transcending the challenges? The spiritual me thinks yes, absolutely we can – the human me thinks it will be hard. 

I am not talking about excusing a person’s poor behavior or not doing what is best for you! I am pondering the idea of maintaining a state of balance, grace, or peace when challenges happen, by loving more deeply. It’s a nice idea; I think it is higher energy. Can I do it? Can I love myself deeply enough to not react or be triggered by others? Can I maintain a state of observation while still being engaged in the relationship and being present? Is this bypassing?

When thoughts like this happen and keep swirling, they are offering a path somewhere. My role is to stay open, curious, unafraid to dive deep, see my shadows, and be willing to have new experiences with the information.

What is in one is in the whole. Each person is contributing to the tensions and the peace of their existence and the collective. Please know that the life path is unique and although we speak of the whole, the whole or the collective of humanity is comprised of individual soul lights sharing the earth stage. How can you contribute to yourself and the larger human collective simultaneously? We ask you to bring these thoughts into your “new year” and cast your light into the world illuminating the way for yourself and others to a greater understanding and energy exchange. 

The energy will continue to intensify here on your earth for the time being. You will manage it. Remember that to create the new we must make room for it, and evolutionary shifts are hard on the planet and its inhabitants. It takes time. Time as well is fracturing, morphing, seemingly disappearing more rapidly. There is an acceleration of what you perceive as time. This is how you sustain the shifting of your planet and species. The bridge between worlds is always connected and available now - there is no reversing the events begun. This is good as we meld and merge the universal consciousnesses. You have access. Come together. Take plenty of human space to meet your emotional and physical well-being. Think of a compression sock; it supports as well as restricts - this in some ways is what is happening for you now. Know this period is a tool of healing.”
